BAY COUNTY G.O.P. SUMMER PICNIC
The 2014 summer picnic will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bigelow Park in Bay City.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Candidates for various offices will be present and speak, including Tom Whitmire for Congress, Mike Green and Kevin Daley for the state Senate, Karl Ieuter and Gary Glenn for the state House, and various county commissioner candidates.

STATE CONVENTION
The 2014 Michigan Republican State Convention will be held Saturday, August 23 at 10 a.m. at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. This convention will formally nominate the Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, justice of the Supreme Court, and members of the various elected education boards.
The county convention to select 22 delegates and 22 alternates to the state convention will be Thursday, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Party Headquarters, 1201 S. Euclid Ave., Bay City.

MUNGER POTATO FESTIVAL PARADE
The Munger Potato Festival parade will be Sunday, July 27 at 1 p.m. Lineup begins at 11 a.m. under the power lines on M-138 east of town. State Senator Mike Green will be walking in the parade.
PRECINCT INSPECTORS
Republicans are asked to serve as precinct inspectors on Election Day in Bay County. Inspectors work the polling place, setting up the poll, signing voters in, handing them ballots, and ensuring the integrity of the election. (They are to be distinguished from poll challengers who are appointed by the parties.) Those interested in serving as inspectors are asked to contact Chairman Matt Lance at (989) 894-0474.

BEGICK FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER
County Commissioner Vaughn Begick has announced he is seeking re-election as 3rd District Bay County Commissioner. Commissioner Begick will be holding his annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Wednesday February 26, 2014 at the LFA Hall on Amelith Road from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 and can be reserved by calling 989-686-0578. Tickets will be available at the door.
STATE SENATOR MIKE GREEN ST PATRICK'S PARADE
State Senator Mike Green will be taking part in this year's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Bay City. The Parade will be held on Sunday, March 16. If anyone is interested in walking with Senator Green please contact me at the number above for more details.
